CPR Clancy UK: Multifunctional Manikin

Introducing CPR Clancy: More Possibilities for Practical First Aid Training

What if your CPR manikin could support more of the scenarios you teach, from airway positioning to trauma simulations?

ProTrainings Europe is the sole UK distributor of CPR Clancy. The Australian-designed CPR Clancy KD2 brings several training functions together in one manikin, giving instructors another option for practical course delivery.

What is CPR Clancy?

CPR Clancy KD2 is a multifunctional training manikin designed for CPR practice and a range of first aid and responder demonstrations.

Its features include a movable head, adult and child compression settings, audible and tactile compression feedback, and interchangeable chest overlays.

Choose its functions according to your syllabus. A versatile manikin can support several activities, but the instructor still needs to select appropriate scenarios and teach within their qualifications and delivery approval.

Bring airway positioning into practical sessions

The KD2 head can turn, twist and tilt, with jaw thrust capability. It also supports Guedel airway demonstrations and bag-valve-mask ventilation.

These features give instructors options for combining airway positioning with relevant practical activities. Use the manufacturer’s instructions to prepare the manikin and explain any limitations of the simulation.

When planning a session, decide what learners should observe, practise and explain. Demonstrate the skill clearly before asking them to apply it in a scenario.

Use compression feedback alongside coaching

CPR Clancy provides audible clicks and tactile feedback during compression practice. A rear control selects adult, child or transport lock mode.

Instructors can use those cues alongside direct observation and feedback. Check that learners understand what the manikin’s feedback represents.

Assessment should cover the relevant course criteria rather than relying on a click alone. Observe technique, explain improvements and give learners time to practise again.

Introduce different chest anatomies into AED practice

Interchangeable flat and raised chest overlays provide options for CPR and AED pad-placement scenarios.

Plan activities that help learners practise respectfully and confidently. Use a training AED and suitable training pads, and keep live emergency equipment available for use.

Expand your scenario options

CPR Clancy includes torso cavities for simulated trauma activities and a disposable internal airway bag system called VentilFlow.

Discuss the required accessories and setup with our team. Keep training supplies clearly identified and follow the instructions for cleaning and replacement.

A useful scenario begins with a specific learning outcome. You might focus on recognising a problem, selecting equipment, requesting help or communicating with another responder.

Add complexity gradually. Allow learners to develop individual skills before bringing several tasks together, then use a structured debrief to review their decisions.

Think about transport between courses

Instructors working at different venues need equipment that is manageable to pack, carry and store. CPR Clancy’s pack-down design stores its head components within the torso.

Before ordering, confirm the package contents, carrying options and consumables required for your intended use. Plan storage and maintenance alongside the purchase.

Could CPR Clancy suit your training?

Review the practical activities you currently deliver and identify where additional simulation options would be useful.

  • Which skills must your manikins support?
  • How many learners need to practise at once?
  • Which accessories are required for your scenarios?
  • How much time is available for cleaning and resetting?
  • How will you transport and store the equipment?
  • What ongoing consumables will you need?

Compare the complete setup with your course requirements. Additional features are most valuable when you have a clear plan for using them.

Connect equipment with instructor development

Good equipment supports teaching; it does not replace instructor competence or a well-planned session. Review whether you need further development before introducing new subjects.
